Answer Question
Finished Fluenz Spanish--where to go from here?
I've pretty well finished with Fluenz Spanish levels 1-5. I bought the program in mid 2014 and did all 150 lessons and flashcard sessions by the following Spring, after which I repeated levels 3-5. I've just finished reviewing all the flashcards again, and I think it's safe to say I've got about 90% of the vocabulary down.
My question is, now what? I'd like to continue expanding my vocabulary and move into more sophisticated grammatical concepts. I've been very happy with Fluenz and I like the computer-based interactive approach, but as far as I can tell, most of the other computer-based Spanish programs cover beginner to intermediate, just like Fluenz, and with much of the same vocabulary.
I have also, for the past six months or so, been listening to Pimsleur Spanish levels 1-4. I don't like the completely aural Pimsleur approach much, but I can get it free from my local library and it is ideal for the car--I can listen to a lesson a day during my commute and repeat it on the way home. But I'm in level 4 now, and I don't think I'm going to get much more out of it.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions about where to go from here. If Fluenz made an advanced version, I'd certainly buy it, but they don't. So I'm wondering if there's another program I could purchase that would take me to the next level.
