Answer Question
Two verbs together for past tense
I'm working the review session #5 of disk 4 in Italian. The sentence is "I preferred to go by bus." The translation given is "Ho preferito andare in autobus." Could someone explain why this isn't "Sono preferito andare in autobus."? I thought if you had two verbs together and the second had to use Essere for past tense, then you had to use Essere no matter what the first verb is. Andare has to use Essere in past tense. Thanks for any help.
