d' acqua or di acqua
In the flashcards and exercises of Lesson 16 of Italian Level One, "Un bicchiere d' acqua con il ghiaccio, per favore" is considered correct. As is "Signore, una bottiglia d' acqua gassata, per favore." But then we find "Una bottiglia di acqua naturale. Grande, per favore." What governs the use of "d' acqua" compared to "di acqua"?
They appear not to be interchangeable. In the first two examples, typing "di acqua" is treated as a wrong answer In the third example, typing "d' acqua" is deemed incorrect.
