Answer Question
Fluenz saved me $10,000
At my university, fourth-term proficiency in a language is required for all graduates. That means if you do not know any French (or a different language), you would have to take four semesters of it. But, if you already know some French, you can take the placement exam and possibly test into second, third, or fourth semester French. My bright idea was to try to learn some French on my own, and hopefully save myself some time and money by skipping a semester or two via placement into one of the higher terms. I purchased and completed Fluenz French 1-5, it took a lot of time and dedication but I really enjoyed the program. Today was the French placement test at my university, and I was surprised and very pleased with the results: I tested into fourth semester French! That means I get to skip three semesters worth of university French classes, that's 12 credit hours which would have cost about $10,000 in tuition. Thank you so much, Fluenz, you were worth every penny and then some!
P.S. Now that I'm done with the Fluenz French program, I'm a little sad. I will miss you, my wonderful Fluenz French teachers Sonia and Caroline.
