Answer Question
Why is ser used in this instance?
I am working in Level Two Upgraded SPA LA, and am in lesson 8. In the tutorial Sonia talks about the use of "ser" when it comes before a noun. In the workout - write the phrases - I have two examples of the use of "ser" as opposed to "estar" one after the other. The first makes sense to me. The second confuses me.
Example one: ¿Dónde es la reunión?
Okay. Here we have ser used before a noun - reunión.
Example two: La reunión es en esa oficina grande.
Here ser is used, but not before a noun. It's used before a phrase of location. So, why is estar not used here?
