"Pour aller" vs "aller"
Could some one clarify for me what the rule is regarding the use of "pour" before verbs such as "aller" or "rester". It seems that it's necessary sometimes, but not others. I don't understand why.
As an aside, many years ago I had a friend from France who, when speaking english, would always say "for to go" or "should to go". Now I know why.
