Answer Question
Spanish Videos
A while back, (I can't find the post) someone recommended a series of YouTube videos called Extra en Español (there looks to be about 24 episodes.) I am early on in the Fluenz program – Level 1, lesson 19 – so I wonder if it's too soon to try and supplement the Fluenz program with this YouTube program, as I am finding myself looking up a high level, around 70%, of the vocabulary. I wonder if I should wait until I'm a little (or a lot) further into the Fluenz program before attempting to view, and make sense of, these videos. (I tell myself they aren't going anywhere, then my other self jumps in and calls me lazy and looking for excuses). But seriously, if I were in the room with these people I'm guessing their conversations would fly far above my head, save for the occasional word or phrase here and there. Am I trying to learn too much too fast, therefore creating the opposite effect? There is another series put out by the BBC, http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/spanis... called, Mi Vida Loca. In this series, a tutor jumps in every so often to explain what's going on and breaks down some of the vocab and grammar. This one seems to be more accessible at my level but I have the same question: too much too fast? Thanks very much in advance for your input/
