Answer Question
masculine/feminine conjugations
In a film I heard a woman say "mio marito mi ha ingagnata" Then the woman continues "mio marito mi ha mentito" Are these two sentences grammatically correct? If so, my question is why in the first sentence the verb is conjugated with "a" and in the second "o". Is there a difference between ingagnare and mentire in terms of how they are conjugated in passato prossimo? My learning tells me that the second sentence is not correct because the conjugation of mentire and the gender of the speaker is out of sync. Am I wrong?
