Answer Question
Genitive case question
The tutorial states that for m/n nouns in the genitive the article takes an +ES ending and the noun takes an +S ending. But some other sources indicate that if the m/n noun is one-syllable the noun takes +ES ending while multi-syllable nouns take +E ending. For example:
der Mann -> des Mannes
das Dorf -> des Dorfes
der Computer -> des Computers
There is also mention of some "weak" masculine nouns which take an +N or +EN ending in the genitive. For example:
der Junge -> des Jungen
der Herr -> des Herrn
Will this be covered in later sections?
I also want to point out that in the Repeat the Words section it does show Des Manns and Des Dorfs rather than Des Mannes and Des Dorfes. If Des Mannes and Des Dorfes are correct than the tutorial is misleading and perhaps these examples should be removed from the Repeat the Words until its covered in a later portion of the course.
