Ok I can answer my own question now.
In + accusative is when you're going into something from A to B. Dieses is the accusative demonstrative for neutral nouns, so Ich gehe in dieses Gebaude, I go (in)to this building, Ich gehe in dieses Hotel, I go to this hotel.
You would use In + dative if there is no movement from A to B. For example "The nice bed is in this hotel": Das schöne Bett ist in diesem Hotel.
Fur is always (at level 2 at least) followed by accusative. Das is the accusative pronoun for neutral nouns, so Fur das Hotel, example This furniture is for the hotel: Diese Möbel sind für das Hotel.
