La carte is the map hence cette carte. Le plan might be a specific map for like a train station or something.

I did realize there were slight differences in meaning, but the question didn't disambiguate! It just said: "that map." If you look up "map" in the Word search option in the Fluenz menu, it does return both words: "La carte" and "Le plan." So it's inconsistent the software didn't accept both options. No biggie. As I've gone through the course, I've spotted a few errors like this. The folks at Fluenz always appreciated having them reported.

I vaguely remember in level one or two they said there was a difference between the two. Hopefully they reply with what that was. I can't remember. Maybe I'll look it up later on.

Hi there, sorry for replying so late, and thanks a lot for reporting this, actually the difference between the two is not that important, so here the program should accept both, you're right, we'll make sure to add this option asap!
As for the differences, la carte can have many meanings, from the map or the menu, to any type of cards..
Le plan is usually a map of a more restricted area, like a city or for the subway for example, it can also mean a plan..
