Hi Tim, Misterjones is right, "kein" is used to negate nouns, while "nicht" negates verbs, whole phrases, adjectives...
Here you can translate the German phrase both with "any" or "the" sun, depending on the context, but in German it can ONLY be with "kein" anyway.
