Hi Jane, Cómo está? I looked at the video segment, and I don't think it was an error. This segment of the video teaches about the different endings when modifying a 'masculine' vs a 'feminine' noun. 'Este' (this) and 'ese' (that) are used to modify a masculine noun (este plato = this plate, ese plato = that plate). On the other hand, 'esta' (this) and 'esa' (that) are used to modify a feminine noun (esta casa = this house, esa casa = that house). This short segment of the video is not about the difference between este & ese, but about the difference between este & esta, and ese and esa.
Hope that helps,
Lance

Hola Lance,
estoy muy bien, gracias.
Thanks so much for responding to my question - you are absolutely right - I was certainly focused on the difference between 'ese' and 'este', and so got a bit lost with the example.
Cheers
