Hello,
The correct pronunciation is as the video says, to pronounce the S [zz] when it's followed by a vowel.
Even if the speaker in the workouts may pronounce it a little "harder" than Nora sometimes, the sound is still [zz]. Like in all languages, there are many variants in German accents, so we chose to teach the most "standard" way and Nora has a very neutral pronunciation, like most speakers. We also think it's important for learners to get used to the little differences from the start, so we're not planning to re-record the programs for now.
