Are there specific accent marks that are not working ... or all of them? If what you're referring to is the ñ, that is not an accent mark. It's a separate letter of the Spanish alphabet -- which means if you type an n instead of an ñ, Fluenz will always flag it as a misspelled word, and not a mis-accented word, whether or not you're in challenge mode.

There are a few options that you can do to proceed with the correct answer. First of all, you'll see a button while in the writing exercises that says "Challenge Mode". If you toggle that OFF, you can continue without the accents (keep in mind, the ñ is always required). Next to "Challenge Mode" there is an "Accents & Shortcuts" menu. Click there and you'll see how to make the accents on your regular keyboard. Alternatively, you will see on the bottom right a button that says "Keyboard" - click there and you can use your mouse to make the letters with the accents.
