First of all, let me tell you that sentence order is very very confusing at first. But once you get the hang of it, it really becomes quite natural.
You pose a very good question. Actually what is confusing you is that za4i is both a verb, and a "location" word. And actually at our level, it’s mostly a location word. So whenever za4i comes along, your first reaction should be to place it in the spot of the location, and if it works, bingo! In your sentence:Shang ge xingqi = Timewo = subject (which remember that can go before of after time)zai Zhongguo = locationAnd just so you see it more clearly, imagine this particular sentence was a bit longer and said:Shang ge xingqi wo zai zhonguo gongzuo
T S L V
Next week I in China work
I don’t know which lesson you’re in, but gongzuo, is work- If you are in an early session, it could also work with chi1Shang ge xingqi wo zai zhonguo chi
T S L V
Next week I in China eat(Meaning, I will eat in China next week, mind you not the most useful of examples, but just to show you how it works)I hope this made things a little clearer
