Good Day David,If you are taking something to do something you can use the ’llevar a’ construction but llevar can also be used just by itself. For example, if you need to get somewhere and need a ride, your friend with a car could say ’te puedo llevar’. But if you are taking someone/something somewhere for a specific action you used the ’llevar a’ construction. eg. "nos llevó a cenar" - "he took us out to eat dinner".Cheers and I hope you’re having a great day.
