Congratulations! I'm hoping to say the same thing about Spanish 2 and Spanish 3 very soon. :-)

Well, I finished my first lesson in Italian Level 3 and am about 20% through the second lesson. What a difference from levels 1 & 2! The dialogs are spoken at a MUCH faster tempo than the previous levels, and Sophie moves along briskly in the tutorials. The biggest challenge so far is training your ear to the speed of speech in the dialogs. Reminds me of the line Bette Davis said in "All About Eve": "Fasten your seatbelts; its going to be a bumpy ride." Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I like the challenge. I just want all future Italian Level 3 users out there to be prepared. The instruction intensity is definitely kicked up a notch--or two!

I've found that I have to listen to the each line of the dialog a number of times to discern the words, but then it becomes clear.

I'm 2/3rd through italian 3. it's definitely faster and more in depth than 2 was. I rarely needed the subtitles to discern words but needed them often for the level 3 convos. good luck!
