I am not sure but i believe that Sonia has already recorded some of the podcast for Spanish 5 but she doesn't know when she'll have time to finish them. I totally agree with you on Fluenz teaching the subjunctive and adding a Spanish 6, i would buy it right away, Ideally I'd like to see Spanish all the way thru level 10!

Hola! Es verdad, el subjuntivo es una parte bella del Español. It really does add utter subtlety to the language. As you say, it would be the natural next step after level 5, and it really would need and entire DVD, entire 30 full sessions. For now there are no plans for a Spanish level 6 but it is something that we contemplate- we'll see what happens. I can tell you that I have recorded half of Spanish 5 podcasts and I WILL get to the other half. I can also tell you that they are worth the wait!!!! Something completely different and MUCH more complicated. Jordan, thank you!!! The fact that you want 5 more levels is the best compliment.

I'm glad to find that Spanish levels 1-5 do not include the use of the subjunctive before I purchased them. I would be interested in obtaining more advanced Fluenz levels in Spanish

Dear Jerry, I'm sorry if this is a problem. We do include some subjunctive elements in our programs, for instance we do teach you to say "Yo quiero", "I want", but left out other types of phrases which are used to express hypothetical situations which you'll use only when you have a high level of command of the language. Fluenz will help you build a strong foundation for you to eventually reach that goal. I think that looking at what you'll learn through the entire program might give you a better overview and idea of what it has to offer: http://www.fluenz.com/languages/spani... Again, a good, quick and concise explanation of the subjunctive mood can be found here: http://www.studyspanish.com/lessons/s... Hope this helps!

Oh no. No subjunctive? My 11 year old has finished Spain Spanish 1 in 30 days on her way to finishing the 5 levels by Summer to return to Spain. I just skipped ahead to see where subjunctive is introduced and saw none.
I have been so impressed with what I've seen so far, and would love to have my daughter continue, so if you guys aren't taking the Spain Spanish further, are there resources you'd recommend? My wife is Spaniard, and I'm American but I have spoken for many years. This course was to "ramp up" my daughter for next Summer's return to Spain, but who knows, maybe subjunctive will come as she "wades" into daily life there.

The subjunctive is best learned in a classroom situation because it is almost a foreign grammatical concept to native English speakers. One needs to constantly ask questions about how and when it must be used.
