I am thinking about doing the same thing when I finish level 5. I have completed the second lesson in level 3 and have a really hard time listening and speaking. Please let us know what your experience is if you accomplish this. There is also a video series called Destinos that I am going to use to supplement my fluenz studies. Alone, the videos would be worthless, but its seems like they might help me get to a point where I can watch a movie without pausing ever two minutes. There is a website where you can watch the 52 episodes for free. It seems like an interesting story line too.

I spent two weeks in Guanajuato and I recommend the spanish school "Escuela Mexicana." I was put in an advanced beginner class after completing the first three levels of Fluenz Spanish. I was in a class with some people a little below my skill level. I wasn't frustrated by this, though, because we covered a lot of vocabulary, and the biggest improvement was in comprehension since the entire class was taught and explained in Spanish (although the teachers do know English and can explain a little if you're not getting it in Spanish). The school also has a great social atmosphere, and there were students from different nationalities (US, Canada, Japan, Korea) when I was there. You need to know what to expect if you go into the group lessons: everybody's skill level is different, so some classes may be a review. They also offer individual private sessions, but they are more expensive. All in all, I thought it was a great experience, it didn't cost very much and it was a great boost to my Spanish confidence!
