How are you using the Flashcards??
Hi all. If you regularly use the Flashcards on the Commons and find that they add value to your language study, I’d be interested in hearing how you’re using them and how they’re adding value to your language study.
I’ve seen lots of positive comments on the Commons related to the Flashcards. Many of you are obviously finding lots of value in them. However, I’ve tried the flashcards on numerous occasions and each time I have a hard time seeing what all the fuss is about. There's nothing new in the flashcards that I don't get in the lessons. So why not just redo parts of the lesson if I need more repetition of some of the content?
The only answer I can come up with is that the flashcards have the potential to be portable, which in theory enables study of the lesson content to continue at times when you can't run the program from the computer. This is probably true for iPad users. But for those of us with Android devices, there still seem to be too many glitches for the flashcards to be very portable. But is portability the only value-add? I can't see any other benefits. Can you?
So to repeat, I’d be interested in hearing how you’re using them and how they’re adding value to your language study. Maybe that will help me figure out what it is that I’m missing.
Thanks and happy holidays to all.
