Also, this is in the "writing the phrases you read" section and here's another reason why it's confusing and doesn't seem consistent.. in one of the phrases, it is; "How much time do you want to stay in Venice?" I thought the answer would be Quanto tempo volete rimanere in Venezia but instead of 'in Venezia", the answer comes up to be "a Venezia". Super confused. :/

The 'in' construction is used with countries, but 'a' is used with cities.

Hi, I'm no Italian instructor, far from it, but this is what they teach us in Italy.
Esprime luogo di destinazione (express place of destination) usa "a." Per esempio: Io ritorno a Napoli.
They also say the same thing about the use of "in." Esprime luogo di destinazione (express place of destination) usa "in." Per esempio: Andate in America.
(If that is all that is said, you will be confussed) But here is what the difference are:
Quando in luogo di permanenza o destinazione è un nome di città, è necessario usare la preposizione "a" ; quando invece, il luogo di permanenza o di destinazione è un nome di regione, nazione o continente, è necessariousare la preposizione “in”.
(When in place of permanence or destination is a city name, you must use the preposition "a" when, the place of permanence or destination is a name of region, country or continent, it is necessary use the preposition “in”.)
Therefore: "Quanto tempo volete rimanere a Venezia?" is correct. But if you used the country, you would say: "Quant tempo volete rimanere in Italia?
The same goes for "Come vuole andare a Roma?"
Hope that helps... Ciao.

I just watched lesson 26 again before logging in here and realized that was the case. Thanks for the clarification!
