It really is not that big of a deal. If you can learn a language, but afterwords cannot learn a simple different method of adding accents, then you have a problem. I don't want this taken rudely; I'm saying it's not that big of a deal. If it really bothers you that much please contact Fluenz on their support page. They might change it for f3 which should come out at the end of this year.

The best way for me when writing an email or in other cases is to omit the accents and use Firefox's add on for the French dictionary. Then it underlines the word I spelled wrong and I can correct it.

frenchAddicted -- the standard Mac/Windows methods for adding accent marks can absolutely be used in our software. Is that what you mean?

Sounds good, but I also means that you may consider to introduce the standard method to people in your software instead of creating a non-standard way (; + key).

I tried to just set my keyboard to the International version, and it works great in my browser and when using the flashcards, but it won't acknowledge them on the software. I know that I would also prefer to use what will work when typing outside of Fluenz - I can figure it out but I am a fast typer and my fingers are smarter than my brain - once i learn something one way, my fingers want to keep doing it that way and it is VERY hard to unlearn. Learning, yes. Unlearning, no. So just a +1 for using the same accents as the international keyboard!
