I would say the Latin American would be the most like what you would hear in USA. The Spain is the Spanish from Europe which is slightly different from what is spoken in the Americas. Similar to the English in Great Britain is different from the English of USA.

I live in Texas and TRUST ME, there is NO SPAIN SPANISH BEING SPOKEn! Not to be rude, but personally I LOVE spain spanish and absolutely HATE latin american spanish (not meant to offend anyone). My friends who speak spanish do not speak spain, but latin american. I live right out of Houston, so I would definitely know. I hope this answer your question. :)

The Spanish of Spain is now spoken almost exclusively there. In Latin America the "vosotros" form has given way to "ustedes" and the famous lisp is regarded as an affectation. There is no reason to hate any form of Spanish. One should remember that there are many different dialects, idioms, word adoptions, etc. throughout the Spanish-speaking world. Language is what people do, what they agree on. Just sayin'.

Tx for the comments. The demo's of both are very similar. I guess the bottom line is the use of ustedes. That's the form used locally in NYC and from what I see is the Latin American form. Hopefully that's the one. Tx again.

Geographically, which is closer to the United States.....Latin America or Spain? Look at a map and answer your own question.
