Same things happens to me quite often actually. The accents, etc are all correct, but the program will not allow you to advance. Pretty annoying. I end up having to go to the next exercise because it won't let out out.

Look at the top of your screen. Toggle "Challenge Mode" to off when you are performing a writing exercise.
However, I suggest taking the extra time to learn the accents. You say that your answers are all correct except for the accents. True, they are using the correct letters, but they are still WRONG. You are cutting a big corner and you will find it to be extremely detrimental later on. After the first disc, there are spanish words that are identical without accents that mean completely different things, like esta and está, qué and que, as well as distinguishing words different tenses.

For those who are having trouble making the Spanish accents, you need to add the United States International keyboard. Here is the link on how to do it. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306560. It is very easy, so don't worry. After adding it, you will be able to toggle back and forth from the standard US keyboard to the US International keyboard. This is the easiest way, but you can also make the accents using keyboard commands. This method works, but involves a lot more keystrokes. Here is a link for the keyboard commands. http://tlt.its.psu.edu/suggestions/in...
¡Buena suerte!

Dear Constant, the way to make accents should appear on the top left side of your screen where it says "accents and shortcuts". These are the keys for making accents or other special Spanish characters on the Fluenz program:
[ + Vowel = é
1 + ? = ¿
1 + ! = ¡
; = ñ
You can also toggle off challenge mode if the accents are giving you trouble. Let us know how it goes! Cheers

Had a quick stab at it again and went without a hitch! Thanks, Leo! (Can't believe the solution was right there on the screen; guess I'm a bit of an idiot! haha) :)

Good evening! I have just completed my first Fluez session for Spanish (LA). I learned in high school and much of the language came back easily.
I've read most of the comments about incorporating the Spanish accent marks into my writing, however, I just can't seem to master the following on my Think Pad laptop:
[ + Vowel = é
1 + ? = ¿
1 + ! = ¡
; = ñ
Do I need to be hitting a shift or control key while holding down any of the above? Do I need to hold down the + key too? HELP!

Turn challenge mode to OFF and accents/marks do not matter in your written responses. It is in the upper part of the screen.
