I just completed French 1 - Session 20 where Sonia explained that "tous" is the plural masculine version for "all" (tous les hôtels) and "toutes" is the plural feminine version for "all" (toutes les personnes). During this session she mentioned that there was also a singular version for "all" but we wouldn't be covering that until later. So I entered "all of it" in Google Translate and it translated that singular version as "tout cela." So I guess that's where "tout" comes into the conversation :)
