Hi! We don't cover the Present-Perfect tense in our Spanish program. We cover only imperfect tenses and past progressive tenses. I can give you a link where there is a summary review the Present-Perfect tense: http://www.studyspanish.com/lessons/p...
Since we focused on building up the language from scratch, that tense fell out of our five level scope. If we develop a sixth or further levels we will certainly include it. In spoken Spanish in Latin America, you will hear the past tense used much more frequently than in the cases where you would use the present-perfect tense in English.
For instance:
I have eaten -- Yo comí (The present-perfect tense: "Yo he comido" is seldom, if not used at all)
I have been in Madrid for two weeks --- Estuve dos semanas en Madrid (Again, "He estado dos semanas..." will be infrequently used in spoken LA Spanish)
In Spain, however, the present-perfect tense will be used more, but again, you need advanced skills to be able to use it proficiently, so it is beyond the scope of our 5 level set. Hope this helps!
