How can you audibly tell the difference between Elle préfére and elles préfèrent?
So on French level 3, lesson 1, I learned that "elles préfèrent aller à cet hôtel-là ou à celui-ci?" means "do they(f) prefer to go to that hotel there or to this one?" but I think if you were to say "elle préfére aller à cet hôtel-là ou à celui-ci?" (meaning "does she prefer to go to that hotel there or to this one?) it would sound the same, n'est-ce pas?
So if I were talking to someone in French on the phone, for example, and I were to say one of these lines, how would the person I'm talking to be able to distinguish whether I mean the first or the second sentence?
