Dear Matt, I'm sorry about that. Can you tell me in which session and what level are you at, so that I can also hear it and check it for you? Thanks!

You're web site may need some work. When I filled out the form I chose the appropriate drop boxes and expected that info to be added to the post. That being said, it's in German 1 session 4 but I don't recall the exact location within the session.

BTW - I realize that part of the point of the training is to get used to hearing German spoke at a natural pace. It could just be my untrained ear not picking up the words because the speaker isn't trying to over pronounce. It would be like someone from anywhere but Boston talking to me and missing what I'm saying because some of my words blend into one when I start talking at a Boston pace.

Dear Matt, I just head the recording, and I have to agree with you on that. I have no knowledge of German, but I'm going to ask one of our language experts to check it out and wait for her response. I will forward you her comments on this. Cheers!

Hi Matt! Just got word from our language expert. She says that it seems that "Möchte er" was contracted into a single word "Möchter" when speaking, because that usually happens in the spoken language. We're trying to see if we re-record it in order to make both words be clearly pronounced. I'll let you know if we make an update on this. Thanks for all your input! Have a great one

Just a FYI... Contractions should be rarely used when learning German in the early stages. It's too confusing to some beginner users that are trying to learn the proper pronoun and verb structures. Once beginner users get a handle on that then they can progress to using contractions.

We sometimes happen to miss out on certain words with Fluenz German because (i) the quality of the recordings can be poor in a very limited number of occasions (ii) speakers swallow words or speak too fast. Please take it easy on us, we're trying hard but we're not machines :-)
