After installing the updates from the Fluenz web site, downloading Firefox which allowed me to download Adobe Flash Player and update Java, and telling the software to run in compatibility mode with Windows XP Service Pack 3, the software will now load and run on Windows 8.

We have been testing our software on the Windows 8 Release candidates and haven't run into any trouble. I'm going to email you directly to get more info on the error you encountered.

I just had the same thing happen. I installed Windows 8 64-bit and get the error "Macromedia Player file is corrupt" when the program starts to load. I get the splash screen and the error gets hid under the splash screen. I did the set compatibility and install Firefox and Adobe Flash Player but still get the error. I am waiting for information from Fluenz to update the software. I can roll back to Windows 7 but wonder about getting a new computer at Christmas.

Mine is just plain locking up on install. It cruises to about 60% of the green bar across and then says NOT RESPONDING and does nothing.

When "It cruises to about 60% of the green bar across and then says NOT RESPONDING" how long do you wait before you abort? Mine did the same thing. I tried several times and nothing. The last time it stopped responding (at about 60%) I got distracted by a phone call before I could abort. I came back after 45 minutes and the program was installed. Perhaps if you wait longer yours might install as well.

I'm getting the exact same "Macromedia Player file is corrupt" message as the other two posters. I tried all the same fixes and am in the same boat as Michael. Please help me use my Fluenz that I love so much!!!!!
