http://www.tv5.org/cms/chaine-francophone/Revoir-nos-emissions/Acoustic/... I just had to share these videos with you all. Amandine Bourgeois has a stellar voice and style. I also wanted to share this because, though I've only recently finished Fluenz 2, I was able to pick out some phrases and words that we've learned, though most of what I recognized I think was in the two short interviews with the artist. Of course I didn't understand most of what was said. I found it très intéressant that when referring to 60's soul music in one of the interviews she says "de la soul musique de sixties." According to Google Translate another way of saying this is "de la musique soul des années soixante." I also found something about the first song, "En claquant des doigts" useful. Apparently claquant means slamming, yet the phrase "claquant des doigts" means "snapping fingers" (or "a snap of the fingers?"). Amandine sings "en claquant des doigts" for most of the song; at the end of the song she re-phrases and sings "en claquant la porte," and I'm assuming the word claquant switches back to it's "slamming" meaning and the phrase is now "slamming the door" or "a slam of the door." I'm confused by the use of "en" before "en claquant des doigts" though. I could be wrong and I don't want to get too ahead of myself but I think it's a confidence builder anyway to watch these videos. Anyways cheers.
