We deliberately decided not to introduce "du" in the first level to avoid confusions, and because when first arriving in Germany, what you'd need most is the formal pronoun "Sie". "Du" is introduced in the second level, and used more and more throughout levels 3 4 and 5.
About conjugations, the "er" form is only like the "ich" form for a few verbs, mostly modal verbs like: Können: ich kann/er kann, Müssen: ich muss/er muss...and it is the case for: ich möchte/er möchte.
The form "möchtet" is used after the informal plural "you": Ihr möchtet You(i/p) want/would like
Hope this helps!
