Why "quelle" not "quel", and why "une heure" not "un heure"?
When asking the time, why is "quelle" used rather than "quel". Is this the word "which" but specifically for time? And, why when saying "it's one" do you say "il est UNE heure" rather than "un"? Wouldn't that mean that you were saying "it is an hour"? Thanks
L'heure is feminine, une for feminine nouns, un for male. I believe that is the answer, but it has been many many years since I studied French, so I might be wrong.
