Level4 Session9: In the flashcards, the sentence "He’ll take out money at the ATM in Munich this evening" translates to "Er hebt heute Abend in München am Geldautomaten Geld ab". Why isn't this "am Geldautomaten in Munchen"? To me, this whole phrase denotes "place" (no "manner") which occurs before the direct object "Geld". I have not been able to find any consistent rule for this. In other sessions, there have been locations like "the museum in the city", "the bus stop at Alexanderplatz", and "the pharmacy on Alexanderstrasse" or "in several offices in Italy". At first, I thought it was the general location came before the more specific location. But now I'm thinking there might be a rule based on whether "in", "an", or "das/der/die" is present, and a different rule if there are two "in"s or an "at" and an "in". Can anyone help me on this?
