Suddenly struggling with the verbs to want and to go
Tonight I finished lesson 24 in level 1. Since I bought the package I have been dedicated to working the lessons. I have missed maybe two or three days, due to work some other obligation, but otherwise I have studied the Fluenz lessons every day. I also generally spend some time each day in addition to the Fluenz lessons watching French movies, French in Action, Téléfrançais, etc. In general I would say that I'm spending a minimum of two hours every day either directly learning or being exposed to French.
I really enjoy it and feel as though I have learned quite a bit in a short period, I've actually surprised myself in how much I have been able to retain. Especially in the areas of reading and writing French. My English spelling is good, but certainly not excellent, however I seem to be picking up the spelling of French words very quickly.
I normally will do each of the Fluenz lessons twice, one time each on consecutive days before moving onto the next. The last couple of lessons, seemingly out of nowhere I'm suddenly having a difficult time getting the verbs "to want" and "to go" mixed up. It's frustrating me some
because I felt as though I had a really good handle on those up to a couple of days ago.
I'm wondering if this is kind of a normal thing, like people commonly have temporary lapses as they are learning a new language. Or is it a sign that maybe I should dedicate some time working specifically on those verbs, taking some time out learning new material?
