My favorite Fluenz feature too. I do Flashcards "before" the lessons so I can hear the new words repeated over and over. Adapting to new words I see are a huge stumbling block for me. I often have to do the lessons 2-3 times and the Flashcards, podcasts and audio many, many times when I get stuck at a difficult lesson..I am in Fluenz 4 now and it sometimes takes many hours for me to feel comfortable enough to advance. Anyone else slow like me?

I am on lesson 13 so going fairly quickly at the moment. I may try 'working ahead' on flashcards as you suggest because I can do that during breaks at work (but can't bring a personal computer here to work the main lessons.)
The flashcards have made me curious: does anyone know how many french words one would learn upon completion of level 3 or level 5? I can't seem to find any posts about total vocabulary.

Some of the reviews I've read for the Fluenz products is they are relatively sparse on vocab, with more emphasis on grammar and structures. I'm ok with this, as I think once one is comfortable with the key concepts of how a language works, there are infinite resources for simply building vocab, with lots of books of verbs, nouns, and adjectives available, along with the myriad of online resources.
