Your understanding of scorso/a and ultimo/a are accurate. I am using the Fluenz French right now, but have taken Italian for many years and have always used those adjectives in the context you describe. I will definitely be buying the 4-5 Italian for myself as soon as I can afford another program!

I think you are correct. In Italian Level 3 Session 21, Sophie goes over this saying that l' ultima is the last as in final; scorsa, on the other hand, means last as in previous. previous week.

I agree, because I was under the impression that they were interchangeable. Thanks for the heads up.
