In the first word-matching exercise in Level 2, Session 25, "Ein Geschenk mitnehmen" is matched with "To take a gift with," and "Mit einer Kollegin kommen" is matched with "To come with a colleague(f)."
I don't recall studying separable verb prefixes yet in Fluenz, but I'm aware of that structure from previous German study. MITNEHMEN and MITKOMMEN seem as though they would either both be separable or neither of them would be. I'm surprised that in the first example MITNEHMEN is kept intact behind the object, but in the second example MITKOMMEN is split into its prefix MIT before the object while KOMMEN follows the object. (Possibly the difference is that in the first case the object is direct and in the second it is indirect, but I'm not sure this makes a bit of difference or even makes sense--in English or in German!)
Is this a mistake in the exercise? Should the first example be "Mit einem Geschenk nehmen"? I realize the case of the indefinite article would have to change to the dative if this is the answer...
