I am totally new to French as well, and I just finished Lesson 11 on disc 1. I am amazed at how i am progressing and can already communicate rudimentary sentences. I am supplementing with vocabulary that I find important for my life. Now off to do my flashcards...

I'm getting ready to do lesson 29 of level 2 in a few minutes. I did a lot of research before I bought Fluenz French 1. By the time I got to lesson nine or ten on that level, there was no question that this was the perfect software for me and I went ahead and bought levels 2-5 right then. I like the fact that they don't try to promote French as an easy language to learn, because it's not, it does require dedication and effort. I thin the Fluenz software challenges me and it keeps me motivated. I started at the end of August and I can count on one hand the number of days that I didn't do a lesson during that period. I look forward to each lesson now just as much as I did in the beginning. I'm very happy to hear others who've had such a positive experience. Keep at it, work hard, and as Sonia says, practice, practice, practice, and you'll continue to amaze yourself as to how much you'll learn.
