I've gotten every Spanish book, etc. I can get my hands on. (even other romance languages) Thrift stores are a wonderful resource esp. for Espanol! People give it up & say "Get it outa here!!" Some of the books are antiques. My problema is I am learning alone, am physically isolated in a remote town where there is no one to communicate with verbally....I'm having trouble with "mute," I watch Univision (love La Rosa de Guadalupe!) I am not "young" so this is slightly harder for me (though I am "college educated" otherwise).....I need suggestions here.

yea i dont live in a diverse town, but hoping to get a job on a cruise ship where i could really practice it. but i think just listening to it will sort of act like immersion, oh and there are podcasts on itunes but i never really listened to them yet, and i think listening to music would help too

I've been a volunteer interpreter at a public health clinic for ten years now. Volunteerism is a good way to get some immersion.
