prego! RAI News 24 is a great channel too; because they often have writing on the bottom so you can try to kill two birds one stone!

I did look at that one when I was perusing the list. I do much better with reading than listening. Now I'm off to watch some Disney shows in Italian. ;-)

Can't go wrong with that! Do you know what you want to study after Italian? I'm already great at French so I probably will get French 4+5 but I can't wait for Portuguese! I hope Fluenz will do Japanese and Russian one day! I think any language they put out, I would attempt even if I have no real desire to learn it just because with Fluenz I know you will learn it ..makes sense haha

Definitely Spanish. I have plenty of opportunity to practice that here. But I'll wait until I'm done with Italian and take a trip to Italy to put it to good use. I took five years of french but feel better in Italian thanks to Fluenz!

This is a great idea. Does anyone have any suggestions for Italian movies or programs available via Roku? I don't have cable television, but like you, would like to improve my comprehension. Thanks!

Last week when Lindsay Vonn crashed, the first video was on Italian television, quickly posted on YouTube. I got 80% of what the commentator was saying. It's great fun when you start to comprehend things that are really aimed at an Italian audience.

Italian television can be really difficult at times but I agree Jim, when you start noticing words or understanding complete sentences it is such a great feeling!!

I watch L'eredita every night on RAI. It's a great way to learn new words. I'm surprised by how much I know already!
