Hallo Tilla! Sein is both the masculine and neuter for "his". Seine is for the feminine. These are possessive adjectives. They express ownership. I did start very slowly but German is challenging compared to Spanish. Always remember that German is 80% rules compared to the opposite of English. Once you understand the rules, you will be fine. German doesn't have nearly as many exceptions as other major languages. I studied at BWS Germanlingua but will be attending Deutsch Akademie/Alexanderplatz in May for 6 months. That is the best way to learn a language is to travel to the country where the language
is spoken if you have both the time and money!!! Unfortunately Tilla there is no easy way around deciding which article goes with each noun-make flashcards and practice. There is some uniformity though. Seinen is always masculine. Keep using the fluenz flashcards like I do and that will really help.
ANother resource is called"about.com/german". The author makes the grammar more easier to understand along with vocab and pronunciation. You can take quizes as well-all for free!!! I use it quite a bit and have even printed out some of this info and put into a binder. Fluenz is a great resource but there are other useful tools on the internet to help supplement what Fluenz teaches you! Maybe I'll see you in Berlin!!!
