I don't think punctuation is necessary in any of the fluenz exercises.

Punctuation isn't necessary in Fluenz, but if you want to get into the habit of using the upside down marks, you can form the question mark by hitting "1" first and then "shift+?" at the same time. For the upside down exclamation point, type "1" first and then "shift+1" (at the same time). You can find these and other shortcuts by selecting "Accents & Shortcuts" at the top of any exercise screen.

You can also use the character key shortcuts to create the ¿ and ¡. To create these press and hold the alt press and then ( on the 10 key number pad only) press 0191. Press 0161 for ¡.

You can also set up a toggle for the Spanish on your keyboard using your Word program.
