I installed Fluenz Mandarin 1+2 2.8 Update.app and no change. I still just get the black screen, and nothing else happens.

BTW, I checked in the settings.ini before I ran the update, and I had 2.8:
language=Fluenz Mandarin
level=1_2
v=2.8
version=3.0
size=3.5
And now it is apparently 2.9:
language=Fluenz Mandarin
level=1_2
v=2.9
version=3.0
size=3.5
language=Fluenz Mandarin
level=1_2
v=2.8
version=3.0

Why is the answer to this problem such a bloody secret!?!?!?! I have been trying to get help from Fluenz all week and gotten nothing. Why is the answer not listed outright? Why is there not a simple software update to follow? VERY FRUSTRATED.

I discovered this morning that I can force-quit Fluenz when that happens, and the dreaded black screen problem is instantly fixed. I pressed Option-Command-Esc, then selected Fluenz from the list of programs I want to force to quit. Worked for me. This is the first time I've encountered the black screen problem, and it happened because I shut down my computer last night with Fluenz still running. When I booted up this morning, I got the black screen until I did the force-quit. This incident convinced me that I need to quit Fluenz before shutting down my iMac.

Sorry we don't have an simple solution for this since it can depend on the version of Fluenz and other variables. The best method is to write us at [email protected] and our tech team will walk you through with a solution.
