I would love to know this as well. Any idea about how many words will be mastering after finishing the 5 levels?

I would also be curious. Also, will there be any other specialized language/vocabulary packs available - maybe like Christmas, Summer, Business writing, idioms, etc.

Yes, this would be great to know for all Fluenz languages.

Surprisingly small. Vocabulary in Fluenz is secondary to the proper usage and sentence structure. You will speak as a very well-schooled
five year old rather than a verbose and inaccurate 8 year old. Which is better? Matter of opinion.

The limited vocabulary, for me, is a serious shortcoming of the Fluenz program. I have started to use other programs to supplement the program. This is rather disappointing considering the price of Fluenz.

I've been keeping my own vocabulary list since lesson 1-1. As of Italian level 4, session 28, I have approximately 1600 words on my list, not counting articles, prepositions, conjunctions, or verb conjugations. I agree that this is not a large enough vocabulary. I'm almost into level 5 and I doubt my vocabulary will be large enough to converse intelligently with anyone. However, I believe the course is designed to get us through a short stay in our respective countries. (i.e.: A vacation in Italy in my case.)
I've been increasing my vocabulary by listening to Italian pop music and downloading the lyrics. Although translating these lyrics is sometimes quite a challenge. I also write short, little stories. (Some of which I've posted here.) My dictionary gets a lot of use, finding words I need for my stories.

I've also been practicing with the free phone app Duolingo. It has lots of vocab and very little instruction so it compliments my Fluenz studies pretty well. It also takes a different path through the grammar using personal pronouns for objects instead of the definite article to mean "it".
