Thanks for your question. All three of the words can be used to mean "to want". However, you would use them a little differently. You would use Yao to mean "want" or "to want". Xiang is a politer way to say it. You would use xiang if you wanted to say "I would like." You would use xiangyao when you want to say that you desire to have something.
