I was a little puzzled by this comment, I haven't done Spanish for a while, so I went back pulled up Spanish 4, session 30. Sure enough, in going from English to Spanish, whenever "you" was asked for it was either followed by (i), meaning "tu" was asked for, or it was not followed by this, meaning "usted" was asked for. Sometimes the "you" itself is in parenthesis, meaning it is omitted entirely. If you see (you(i)) that means you don't put either tu or usted, but the verb has the ending for "tu."

James - They corrected this with the flashcards starting at level 3 or 4 (I can't recall which). That was not the case for the first 2-3 levels, however. If you go back to an earlier level you'll see what I mean.

OK, I can see that would be a problem. For me, I do the flash cards by reading the English, then I say the Spanish, then listen to how Fluenz says it. Even in level 4 and 5, when they use the (i), I sometimes get the tu-usted thing wrong, but I guess I don't consider it a major issue since either is technically correct.
