Depending on the cable carrier you use, most offer Spanish subtitles for network offerings. I know Fox does this and I watch "New Girl" with Spanish subtitles when I can. I haven't looked into trying the Spanish channels (like HBO Latino) to see if they do English subtitles on their Spanish overdubs. It's on my list of things to try once I clear Level 2.

I have enjoyed several movies. Casa de Mi Padre (the Will Ferrill movie), Terminator (quite good since Arnie talks slowly), Ladrón que roba a ladrón, Relatos salvajes, He never died (another slow talker), Sahara with Bogart in Spanish. There are probably many more but I've finished these and like them.

I have to pop in here since Spanish films are my specialty. I especially love horror films from Spain, as they tend to be more about suspense and great story telling than gratuitous gore like in the US. Anyway, some of the great films I've seen are: Amores Perros (Drama, Rated R), Cuatro Lunas/Four Moons (Drama), The Devil's Backbone (Horror), The Orphanage (Horror), Desierto (Drama), Y Tu Mama Tambien (Drama), The Motorcycle Diaries (Drama), Pan's Labyrinth (Horror). Also, there's a great collection called Six Films to Keep You Awake. These are horror/suspense and really highlight the amazing storytelling of Spanish directors. Enjoy!

On Amazon Prime there is a series called los misterios de laura, about a detective with some personal problems. It's humorous in places. You can turn on captioning.

I would recommend watching shows or movies you know in spanish. On Netflix and Amazon Prime, when you hit pause look for the settings icon. You can switch to the spanish version there. It helps when it is something you know and can pick out new words or phrases. Disney movies and musicals are a guilty pleasure of mine so i have fun watching those in spanish. Just my two cents.

Any Pedro Almodóvar movies would be good to watch. The acting is often exaggerated alongside dramatic lines from the actors, so it's easier to infer the context of what is happening. Plus, the movies are strange and beautiful to watch - a real slice of La Movida Madrileña - a colourful 80s Spain following the Franco era.
