There are some mistakes in the flashcards/program..If there is a way to let Fluenz know, I think it would be good to report.
You are correct with regards to the "La" and "Una.

You are correct, "una ricevuta" = "a receipt" and "la ricevuta = the receipt". In session 15, level 1, Sonia explains that in Italian you generally use the definite article, "la ricevuta" while in English you generally use the indefinite article "a receipt". It's just like in the structure "con la carta di credito" = "with a credit card". That's why in the drills and dialogues you'll see "la ricevuta" = "a receipt". It's one of those cases in which we chose not to use a literal translation. It's a bit more difficult because you have to remember to use a different article, but you'll sound more natural.
