With the French course they are looking for the formal you except on the lesson where they actually cover the informal (Level 2 Lesson 19 I believe.) They make it clear that with the exception of that one lesson they will be looking for formal version.

At least with Spain Spanish, they put the letter R in parens, like this (r), to indicate Respect. It's explained in a lesson at the beginning of level 2.

Thanks, Latin America Spanish is the same on the lessons, however with the flash cards as best I can tell, you simply have to guess. Hope I'm missing something. Thanks again!

I just used the flashcards, and the (r) is used extensively. Can't imagine it'd be different in L.A. Spanish. Maybe you're at a part of the lesson where the formal form isn't used.
